I began building cabinets as far back as 1993 - I don't
remember exactly because I drifted into it while pursuing an interest in making musical instruments,
partcularly classical guitars.
Over time I
developed a high level of general skill with the handtools associated with fine furnituremaking, ranging from
hand-cutting dovetail joints to veneering curved surfaces and bending solid wood with steam, heat, and
pressure.
What this means
is that I can build just about anything you want to have made. What you'll get is quality that is hard to find in
mass-produced work - quality that lasts a lifetime, not something we see much of these days.
Below: a walnut bowfront vanity I built with curved veneer doors done with a vacuum bag press, a modern tool which makes curved
veneering go quicker.
